Waterworld Waterpark is acclaimed for its ancient Greek mythological
theme throughout the park. Accordingly, the new Boomerango Ride
has been named ‘The Fall of Icarus’ and recreates the story of Deadalus'
son, Icarus, who used wax and feathers to fly to the Sun. When the heat
became to intense, the wax melted and the feathers detached and Icarus fell
back to the Ocean.

Other recent attractions to Waterworld include "Poseidonís Wave Pool". This
pool is equipped with a pneumatic wave generating system that will deliver a
variety wave actions. From the Poseidon Wave Pool guests can enjoy a view
of Waterworld's new interactive water play area. Themed islands, Geysers,
Greek Ruins and Poseidon's overwhelming presence make this experience
truly "The Poseidon Adventure".

Adjoining the impressive Poseidon Wave Pool is the adult pool, "Aphrodite's
Baths".  Here, a bubble bench and bar seats in the pool keeps visitors
relaxed and refreshed. Aphrodite on her shell - Goddess of Love and Beauty
together with waterfalls and fountains enshrine this magnificent grotto of
make-believe.

For the children, there is an interactive water play structure named "The
Trojan Adventure". This Trojan Horse theme water play adventure combines
multi-level platforms, water effects, water games, a large tipping bucket and
many other surprises to delight it's visitors for hours on end.

Waterworld's marketing team has carefully amalgamated real life sculptures
of characters from ancient Greek Mythology with cartoon look-a-likes depicting
the same characters. The life size sculptures are mascots at each attraction,
while the cartoons are used in advertisements, signage and literature. There
are even souvenir characters available through the park's retail outlets.
Some of the characters are Aphrodite, Poseidon, Apollo, Zeus, Dionysos,
Homer, Odysseus and Midas.

Waterworld Cyprus is 70,000 square meters in size. It has become the most
popular tourist attraction on the island. Cyprus receives in excess of
2 million tourists per year.

This pool bar is owned by 3 brothers from the Karas family.  As well as the pool, there is also a large sunbed area (Free use) and has a small football pitch with well tended grass, ideal for that early evening kick-about. Small children also have there own pool with Mini Golf and amusements to hand.

The Snack bar is ideal for lunchtime meals and refreshing drinks.

Karas Pool is only a 7 minute stroll from our apartment.

Children will love this park. Mums and dads can chill out on the many sunbeds provided.

Mini Golf is a great way to spend an evening in Cyprus.  There are attractions situated in the heart of both Protaras and Ayia Napa.  This is pure enjoyment, whether your old or young and there are also several children attractions around the area.
