Beaches
Cyprus is blessed with over 340 days of sunshine on average each year and the island has many fine beaches for you to soak up the Mediterranean rays. Some of the best beaches are within a short distance of Kapparis. Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa boasts golden sands and crystal clear waters with traditional tavernas and bars to quench your thirst during the heat of the day. You will also find plenty of water sports for the more active individual. Another much quieter beach is Macronissos, with its soft white sand. Tucked away and hidden from view are the little known tombs dating back some 2000 years. The fishing harbour in Agia Napa is surrounded by tavernas were you can sit and watch both the fishing and pleasure boats come and go and watch beautiful romantic sunsets. Fig Tree Bay in Protaras is also blessed with golden sand, crystal clear water and spans the length of the resort, Water sports are also in abundance and caters for all types of tastes. Bars and tavernas line the beach along with high quality hotels and restaurants. Fireman’s beach is a small sandy cove within 5 minutes stroll from the apartment. Children will love it here as the cove acts as a shelter on windy days and the sea is very calm for younger children.

Kapparis ...
... is Greek for capers! But it's also an area of Paralimni in the Famagusta (Ammochostos) district of south east Cyprus - see shaded circle on map below.
Kapparis is an up-and-coming, peaceful and picturesque locality with easy access to the towns of Paralimni and Dherynia, and the resorts of Protaras, Pernera and Ayia Napa. Although Kapparis has supermarkets, restaurants and bars, a car is really essential for maximum pleasure, as in the UK.
